CURRENT NEWS
Town Clean Up Day
Starting in September the Town will be switching to a single stream recycling method. This is a change being
made county wide in compliance with the new recycling processing center.
A new 95 gallon cart will be delivered to each residence in August. ALL recyclables must be placed into
this one cart. You no longer have to separate paper from the plastics, metal, and glass. Starting with the September recycling
collections DO NOT use your old recycling bins. The same schedule and pick up dates will be kept. (see back
page for schedule). A $50 charge per cart will be placed onto the property tax bill per residence as a special assessment
to cover the cost of the carts. An informational letter from the collection company will come with the cart.
Garbage Collection
In the last newsletter there was a mention of a possible cooperative arrangement with the Town and some of our neighbors for garbage pickup. Our neighbors decided to extend their current contracts, so this will not be an issue for this year.
New Zoning Administrator
The Town is pleased to announce that it has hired Debbie Dederick as the new Zoning Administrator. The Town wishes to Thank Cindy Hendricks for the time that she put in the position. Debbie can be reached for land use and other permits at: 865-4282.
